Quick Start Guide
Get from zero to insights in 15 minutes. This hands-on tutorial walks you through the complete Flow Myna workflow using a sample loan application process.

Prerequisites
Before starting:
- Flow Myna account (sign up at flowmyna.com)
- CSV file with process data (or use our sample data)
- Basic understanding of your process

Or use your own CSV with timestamps, activities, and case IDs.
Step 1: Create Your Workspace (1 minute)
Your workspace is the foundation—where all data and team collaboration happens.
Actions
- Sign in to Flow Myna
- Click + New Workspace
- Enter details:
- Name: "My Process Analysis"
- Description: "Learning Flow Myna with loan application data"
- Click Create Workspace
Step 2: Upload Your Data (5 minutes)
Use the AI-powered wizard to transform your CSV into process-ready format.
Actions
2.1 Create New Dataset
- Select your process type or pick Custom Process if your process is not listed
- Click Continue to Upload
2.2 Upload Files
- Drag and drop your CSV files
- Or click to browse and select
- Click Upload All
- Wait for upload to complete and click Proceed to Mapping
2.3 Auto-Mapping (Wait 1-2 minutes)
- Watch as AI agents analyze your data
- Progress updates show in real-time
2.4 Manual Mapping Review (Human in the Loop)
- Review the discovered object types (e.g. Loans, Customers, etc.)
- Review the discovered event types (e.g. Application Submitted, Credit Check, etc.)
- Confirm each event types is correctly linked to the appropriate object types
- Use the comment bubbles throughout to provide feedback on any required changes
- Once the review is complete and if comments have been added, click Re-run mapping with feedback
- Repeat the mapping review and feedback cycle as many times as needed
- When the mapping is finalised, click Approve and Continue
2.5 Data Transformation (Wait 1-2 minutes)
- Agent creates a re-usable transformation plan tailored to your data and using the mapping confirmed in the previous step
- Objects, events and relationships are synced to database
Your Dataset is ready to analyse!
Step 3: Create Your Project (2 minutes)
Set up a focused analysis of your process data.
Actions
- Click + Create Project from the dataset overview page
- Enter a Project Name and Description
- Click + Create Project
- Select Object Types and related Event Types
- ✅ Include only one Object Type per project
- Click "Create Project"
Your Process is ready to explore!
Step 4: Explore the Process Map (3 minutes)
Visualize your entire process flow.
Actions
4.1 View the Map
- You're automatically on the Process Map page
- See nodes (activities) and edges (transitions)
- Observe the thickness of edges (frequency)
4.2 Interact with Nodes
- Click "Credit Check" node
- See: 234 cases (94%) went through this activity
- View timing statistics
4.3 Interact with Edges
- Click the edge: "Risk Assessment → Manager Approval"
- Observe duration statistics:
- Mean: 4.2 days
- Median: 3.8 days
- P95: 7.1 days
- Notice: This is colored red (bottleneck!)
4.4 Identify Patterns
- Follow the thick edges (happy path)
- Look for red edges (slow transitions)
- Notice any loops (rework)
Result: You've identified the Manager Approval bottleneck!
Step 5: Analyze Variants (2 minutes)
See the different paths cases take through your process.
Actions
Navigate to "Variants" page (left sidebar)
Review Top Variants:
- Variant 1 (70%): Standard approval path
- Variant 2 (20%): Expedited path
- Variant 3 (10%): Rejection path
Click Variant 1 to see details:
- Sequence of activities
- Average duration: 4.2 days
- 175 cases follow this path
Select Variant 1 and click "Show on Map"
Process map highlights this specific variant
Result: Understanding that 70% follow standard path, opportunities exist in the other 30%.
Step 6: Ask the AI Co-Pilot (4 minutes)
Use conversational AI to explore your process.

6.1 Start a Conversation
- Navigate to "Co-Pilot" page
- Type or click starter question: "Show me loans that took longer than 14 days"
AI Response:
- Applies filter automatically
- Shows 45 loans (18%) match
- Process map updates to show only these cases
6.2 Follow Up Ask: "What's the main bottleneck for these slow cases?"
AI Response:
- Identifies Manager Approval as bottleneck
- Shows chart comparing step durations

6.3 Compare Cohorts Ask: "Compare high-value vs standard loans"
